BENDICIONES is the Spanish for Blessing. Our coffee series CAFE DEL PADRE has been with us over 5 years and has been very popular because of its excellent coffee flavor from a famous region near Tarrazu in Costa Rica.

To tell you a little about CAFE DEL PADRE, it is a wonderful project started by a small church in Frailes, were the Father of the church decided one day, instead of having farmers of the community of Frailes, sell their coffee cherries to big wet mills for a small amount of money. Because coffee is the main income all year around for many farmers, that they depend economy and rely on that. The father of the church decides with his influence in the community to gather coffee cherries from small producers in the Frailes town to process themselves and find a potential buyer from abroad. At the end around 70 families decided to participate of such beautiful project.
We are so very proud to see them grown, and this year 2016, they have even constructed their own micro-mill, as you can see on the pictures below of the inauguration ceremony with the towns priest sprinkling holy water to the producers and their new mill and music from Frailes COFFEE ORCHESTRA BAND, that also hold a 12th year anniversary of coffee fair that holds every year in the small town of Frailes that celebrates coffee beverage, that is such important beverage of this country, also called the spirit of the nation of Costa Rica!
