Freshly roasted coffee beans just as you like it! Try roasted coffee beans Nicaragua for a distinct, chocolate – decent, elderflower syrup flavour. First and even most importantly, we have loved this one for years and we think we can never stop. However, this is certainly one of yours favourite. We get requests of Nicaraguan coffee very frequently, but sure you can tell american coffee are more popular than for example coffee from Africa.
Region
Jinotega, Matagalpa and Segovia are the regions where the most coffee is grown, with Jinotega being the main player. Few people know the fact that in Nicaragua, 95% of coffee trees are grown in the shade and organic. Probably thanks to this we can very easily distinguish grains from others – they are very large. Region Segovia is one of the richest when it comes to coffee production. It certainly deserve better future, so don´t forget to purchase fairtrade products.
Coffee trees grow at altitude from 1200 mamsl, which is probably really high for any plants to grow. Despite this fact, the coffee from here are really unique. The number two fact of uniqueness is transport from war country to the whole wide world. The main problem of country is global warming – with higher temperature we will soon need to find a way how to grow coffee trees in higher altitudes.
Classification: SHG EP – this type of preparation is typical for middle and similarly, south american coffee.
Variety is Caturra because that is a very common variety in Nicaragua.
Collection of cherries happened at April 2020.
SCA scored this blend on 84 points, which by any means it´s a very good specialty coffee.
